My Maia

The "Maia Shawl" I finished a few months ago is finally blocked! Yay! And, I couldn't be happier with it. The colors in the Madeline Tosh Lace yarn are so pretty. And, this pattern...WOW! The designer really knows crochet and really knows how to write a pattern. The pattern is beyond impressive. Just the fact that this intricate lace can be created from a written pattern and no chart is amazing. But, every stitch the designer chose and where they put it was genius! It's the most intricate lace project I've done and absolutely the most rewarding.

It took less than 950 yards that were in the skein and I used a size "G" crochet hook to make it.

So gorgeous! I love it!

Blocking took more time than usual and a LOT more pins! I love the extra little detail/point between the big points.

It was worth every minute and every pin. Check out these details...

I need to figure out who designed this and see what else they have to offer. Their master pattern designing and writing skills are worth every penny of the pattern.

Wow! It is gorgeous!!! The color is amazing and the pattern itself is breathtaking... especially the border.

I must try to learn some more crochet! Did it take you long to finish it?

For me it is impossible to finish a shawl and not block it immediately! I am always too curious to see the pattern blossom and enjoy all its details :)

That is gorgeous!!! Great combo of yarn choice, technique and a beautiful pattern!!!

I did my very first crocheting this week (to make a provisional cast-on for some knitting), and I'm so amazed that you can use a crochet hook to create such beauty!!

Love your photo session too....good choice of location!

Congrats on a beautiful project!

I agree! That is absolutely beautiful! And I love the color of the yarn. Showing it off by the ocean really made it stand out.

Oh my goodness - this shawl is absolutely stunning - I don't think I have ever seen such exquisite handwork. The color is magnificent - and you look stunning modeling this beautiful creation. The color is the deep blue of the sea - and the beach was the perfect place to model and take photos. I could not do this if my life depended on it - I am totally in awe!!

I can only just say WOW -- amazing!

Thanks for stopping by to see me earlier - your visit is so special to me. I am sending you a private email about the questions you asked~~

Hugs,
Vicki
