I'm still on a roll with working on projects and I'm having so much fun!
I have another FO today. Yay!
I found a set of nice cotton pillow cases at Ross last week for about $5.
And, I had a two matching pieces of crocheted lace that I bought at a restoration/vintage fair
a couple of years ago. I thought they'd be pretty sewn onto the pillow cases.
I hand washed and lightly blocked the lace a couple days ago.
Today, I pinned them in place and hand stitched them on.
The pillow cases are a close match to some of the colors in our comforter...
especially at night with the lamps on.
I think they're really pretty.
I'm so happy to have found something to use the lace for.
Now, instead of sitting in a drawer where it's rarely seen, I get to enjoy it.
We've been needing new sheets. I bought a beautiful set last week.
And, since we have two sets of pillows, these lacy pillow cases will be useful too...and loved.

Very pretty! And it is so satisfying to use and enjoy something instead of "saving" it, hidden in a drawer.
Nice! this is one of my favourite things to gift at bridal showers - something useful that has a hand crafted touch.
The pillowcases look so luxurious with the lace sewn on. What intricate, pretty lace you found! I really need to pull out some antique pillowcases from my linen cupboard and display them on my bed. You must feel very satisfied to get these small, but lovely projects completed. Loved the slouch hat from your previous post ;) Happy Wednesday! Wendy
I just love old lace and that lace is beautiful. So glad to see it get used and loved.
What an inspirational idea!! They are gorgeous!
Oh they're beautiful!
You are so clever and artistic! What a brilliant thing to do!
Nice! You're enjoying the projects and I think we're all enjoying seeing them!
Those are beautiful. I love the color, it matches the floral print in the top photo to a T!
Okay, I give up! You win. You're going to town on finishing projects! I am however working on the "never-ending" shawl. But, you're way ahead of me. Great job and they turned out beautifully!
So, so pretty - just love the lace edging, well done!
Xx
