Ewe Turn

One day last week, when I was going to visit Grandpa in the hospital, I decided to take a different route  to get there.  Shortly after I made that decision and turned down this road I came across a road block.
But, I was so glad...do you see what it is?...

Sheep!

It's been a while since I've been near sheep being herded in our area.  This was a treat.
They started heading my way a few times but the herder quickly re-directed them in the right direction.

I would have enjoyed watching them a lot longer.  But, the herders were very good at what they do and had them across the road and into another field in no time.

It probably seems odd that they were herding sheep along a railroad track.
But, no worries because that track is rarely used.
And, just in case you were wondering why there are so many power lines...
there's a power station on that road.

You don't see that around here. I do remember when dad had sheep. We made a pet out of one of them. He wasn't real happy about that, but he let us continue until we had to let it go. Of course, the tears rolled. It is always fun to see things out of the ordinary. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers Your Missouri Friend.

The closest I get to that much excitement is when my neighbor's pet cows get out and take a stroll down my road!

That would have been fun to watch. We don't have that anywhere near here, but when going down along the coast, I have had to wait for cows to be herded across the road.

How fun! The only place I've ever seen sheep on the road is in Ireland. I have occasionally seen a cow in the road, too, but they were usually escapees.

All those power lines - - I think there's a SciFi book titled, Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep? Now I see where they are raised.

Love the pin! Splendid work.
