Pretty Pink Cloud

I've been eager to start a new crochet project.  I've been going through my stash and patterns, trying to find a perfect match that I'm excited about making.  I've tried a few different yarns and patterns but haven't been happy with any of them.  During another sleepless night last night, I got up and searched Ravelry again.  I decided to look through some of the projects of another Raveler who's talent and projects I admire.  It paid off!  She'd made a South Bay Shawlette with a fine and fuzzy yarn and the results were gorgeous.  Turns out I have some beautiful pink mohair just waiting to be used.  I pulled it out this morning and got started.  It was love at first sight!
Check out this pink, fuzzy, angelic, lacy cloud of wonderfulness...

I'm using a "G" size crochet hook and Crystal Palace Kid Merino yarn.
I've made a LOT of shawls with this pattern but with this yarn it has a totally new look.
I'm having so much fun with this!

  8. Oh that's so delicate and a beautiful colour ;D
I've not visited many in the party either with having all of our renovations underway plus having my wrist in a plaster cast and cracked ribs. There's never a dull moment here.

  10. What a beautiful color, and it looks like it's going to be so very soft. I printed up the same pattern just yesterday after I saw it on another blog. Check it out here. http://www.quietlystitching.blogspot.com/ I think you'll be surprised what it looks like with a different needle size and different yarn.
Please keep us posted with your beautiful start.

  11. Looks beautiful! I'm not sure I've seen you wear any of your shawls. We must not get together when it's cold. :-)

  12. This is such a pretty lace pattern! I have a soft pale blue mohair that I'm trying to decide what to make with it (knitting). I'm leaning towards a baktus scarf as I don't think there's enough for a shawl. Wendy x

  14. At first glance, I knew it was mohair. It is going to be a lovely, light, but warm shawl for you. And what a happy color!

  15. Now that is just lovely. I have just picked up a hook again and I'm gonna give it a try to use up some of the stash. Have a great day, and I look forward to some more of your creations. Aloha
