I'm so sorry. I can totally understand your frustration. My in-laws were and still are in somewhat of a similar situation. Hopefully we can have lunch again after the dust settles after the Holidays. Sending lots of hugs and praying for you! Your daughter is so talented, playing the harp is no easy task. I bet you are so, so proud of her.
Hugs,
MeredithMereknitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04596140300034854370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726925334003624379.post-89696167476118314492013-12-05T17:16:37.093-08:002013-12-05T17:16:37.093-08:00I feel for you dealing with the move for your folk...I feel for you dealing with the move for your folks. I moved my folks out here to OR from the Jersey shore in 2002. I went back to help them pack and found that nothing had been done and then they sat and watched me pack everything and set up a garage sale for them and arrange for donations/hazardous waste, etc. My dad had alzheimers but he was really very easy going about it all and helped where he could - usually taping up the boxes.

I bet the concert was beautiful.Cindie https://www.blogger.com/profile/00417973211775970549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726925334003624379.post-69815334016055447582013-12-05T17:01:13.605-08:002013-12-05T17:01:13.605-08:00Oh I bet is was fantastic! It was hard to do this as my brother and I were growing up. It's amazing how much stuff they can add to the move each time. Her upset comes from alzheimers. She's becoming a different person from it. Sad.Acorn to Oakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14334558675705027610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726925334003624379.post-50170360837641428062013-12-05T15:46:16.119-08:002013-12-05T15:46:16.119-08:00Bless your dear heart. If your parents, especially your mom, seem angry with you after this, it's just that they didn't want to move, and everything is new and confusing. If the silverware has been in the same drawer for 27 years, it's going to be hard to find the silverware in a new place. When we helped my husband's best friend move, I threw out over a hundred empty cottage cheese cartons. (Neatly washed and stacked.) It took a while for them to get over being mad at me for that.

Old age is so cruel. I'm preparing myself to ease into it graciously.

Good luck and hooray for your dear daughter!roxiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14916948065233137971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726925334003624379.post-2075008707390220082013-12-05T13:19:46.080-08:002013-12-05T13:19:46.080-08:00Blogging really does help us know that everyone se...Blogging really does help us know that everyone seems to be busy and trying to do a lot. When I was in high school, we had an assembly for a concert...when the woman came on stage with her harp there were a lot of groans until she began to play...She totally mesmerized everyone. Needless to say, she received a standing ovation. I will never forget it!Delighted Handshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289187765260532813noreply@blogger.com
